Macrophages in the uterus play a role in healthy pregnancy

Researcher at the Leiden University Medical Center have shown that macrophages play an even bigger role in healthy pregnancy than previously assumed. Mass cytometry (CyTOF) was used to analyze frequencies and interactions of immune cells in placentas from pregnant women. The research has been published in iScience.
