About RiNet

Welcome to the website of the Reproductive Immunology Network Netherlands (RiNet). The network constitutes a group of colleagues who work in different research institutes within The Netherlands on basic and translational research in the field of pregnancy-related immunology (also called reproductive immunology). The core group of RiNet consists of the following scientists and gynecologists from the following University Hospitals: Radboud University Medical Center Nijmegen (Dr. Renate van der Molen), University Medical Center Groningen (Dr. Jelmer Prins), Leiden University Medical Center (Dr. Marie-Louise van der Hoorn, Dr. Michael Eikmans), Maastricht University Medical Center (Dr. Tim Wolfs) and University Medical Center Utrecht (Dr. Titia Lely).
Our purpose is to enhance promotion of leading scientific research, to gain more insight in the role and effect of the immune system in pregnancy, and to possibly come to better treatment of patients with immunologic disorders in the area of reproduction, pregnancy, and birth. We also aim to stimulate collaboration at national and international level. This will be reached by sharing of scientific knowledge, materials, and technological expertise.
A closer cooperation will create a higher chance of joint scientific publications and research grants, and will also generate a higher visibility toward other (reproductive) immunology societies.
